Howell Jenkins and Sophie Hatter ---Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones What can I say?! I'm a Fan!! ~<3 probably do another fanart sooner or later
I've seen this on the web somewhere before, so glad I stumbled upon your gallery! I simply LOVE your take on Sophie and Howl! It's simply spot on! Sophie looks everybit the fair-haired, curious and bossy youg woman described by DWJ, and Howl is stunning too with his stylized locks
walking on the air I can do this no problem . .. you let go and youre a sorry wizard!
This is perfect <3 like really perfect <3 omg thank you for this
LOVE that movie!
What fun! A Howl picture that is not just a take-off of the movie! *squee*
Beautiful work! I especially love their outfits.
I love this- really very close to how I see them in my head in the book- lovely stuff. Adore the style- ghost of the turn of the century illustration about it. Their shoes are my favorite part, but their faces are just if not more lovely.
You should do one of Lettie and Percival, even though he really doesn't exist... Yeah.
i want to but i can't imagine percival , i always end up with turnip head the ghibli version one of these days maybe so i can complete the hatters
so sweeeeet<3 and lovely drawing, please do more like this (Howl&Sophie) you're talented! xoxo
IT'S PERFECT! *w*
It's simply awesome!
looks great :3 when I think howl and Sophie I think Ghiblie... this looks stunning though :3
i love ghiblis version too-watched it first before i read the books thanks
YEs! Book!HowlandSophie are the best kind of HowlandSophie! Definitely one of my favorite works of them, so cute.
This is one of my favorite, if not my total favorite, HMC fan piece. This is gorgeous. I agree with the previous commenter, the movement is so lively. The whimsy and love shown in this piece matches the book perfectly.
Beautiful motion in their poses. Your linework is exquisite and I love the overall Nouveau touch. The tone of the book lends itself to that style but I never thought of it until seeing this. I love how unique your interpretation is. A lot of HMC artwork starts to look the same after a while but you've put your own stamp on it while still giving a bit of homage to both book and film. Lovely work.
this is really so beautiful. do you think you could possible do one with michael in it? i think he was by far my favorite character.
thanks i'll try do one (one of these days)
I'm kinda in love with this.
Lovely! The lineart is beautiful and I love the choice of color
Please, please, please do more fanart. Especially for this book. I enjoy your interpretations of the characters especially when so many people are influenced solely or mostly by the movie.
